This is the number one question we get asked and it’s also the one that doesn’t have a set answer. Because we build to suit, every Toyota Land Cruiser restoration is priced based on the series, the condition of the starting truck, and the scope of the build. A factory correct restoration, restomod, or custom build typically starts in the mid five figures and goes up from there based on the details.

How can I add more horsepower to my Land Cruiser?
There are two main paths depending on how far you want to take it.
The most popular is a full restomod with a modern V8 conversion. A Chevy 6.2 V8 paired with the 6L80E 6 speed transmission is one of our most requested builds. We retain the factory transfer case, update the suspension for roughly 2.5 inches of lift, and handle everything from a custom exhaust and wiring harness to new fuel lines, cooling system, and professional tuning. When it leaves our shop, it’s a complete, road tested build ready for another lifetime of adventure.
For clients who want to keep the original engine, we install the Howell EFI fuel injection system. The Howell EFI replaces the old carbureted fuel system with modern electronic fuel injection, which improves throttle response, boosts horsepower, delivers better fuel economy, and makes the truck far more reliable in everyday driving. It’s the best way to modernize the performance of your Cruiser without giving up the original engine.

Either way works, it really comes down to what you already have and what you’re looking for. If you’ve got a Land Cruiser sitting in the garage waiting for its moment, we’re ready to get to work on it. If you’re starting from scratch, we typically have a rotating inventory of original condition Cruisers that are solid restoration candidates and ready to be Built to Suit. How long does a Toyota Land Cruiser restoration take?
Most Land Cruiser restorations take between 12 and 18 months depending on the series, the condition of the starting truck, parts availability, and the scope of the build. We walk every client through a realistic timeline at the start of the project so there are no surprises.
Which Land Cruiser series do you restore?
We restore the full classic Land Cruiser lineup including the FJ40, FJ55, FJ60, FJ62, FJ70, FJ80, and 100 Series. Every build is completed in house from start to finish.
How does transportation work if you're in Kansas and I'm not?
Distance is never a problem. We offer free nationwide transport to all 50 states, both ways. Whether you’re buying a finished Land Cruiser from us or sending us yours to restore, we coordinate pickup and delivery through licensed and insured carriers. You don’t lift a finger.
